I have drawn and painted since childhood. It is simply what I like to do best.

I paint every day in my studio at home. When it is warm enough, I paint on location which is the most fun because it is all right there – the lights, the smells, and the color.

I feel fortunate to live in Vermont. The rural landscape truly inspires me. I love painting farms, flowers buildings, animals and water. I try to capture the essence of a place in my paintings.

I paint on 140 lb. Arches Hot Press Watercolor paper; it is very smooth and allows for fine detail. I use Winsor-Newton Watercolors, and a blend of sable and synthetic brushes.
