Bentwood Boxes and Related Objects

I specialize in bentwood items of both Shaker and Scandinavian design.  Shaker styled boxes are well known for their simple elegance achieved through uniformity of design and proportions.  Scandinavian bentwood boxes  date back to the Viking era.  These boxes stress a level of rugged individuality and creativity befitting their Viking heritage.  All items are made individually with a great deal of attention to fine detail, a healthy respect for traditional craftsmanship, and the occasional contemporary interpretation.  I carefully select and match wood species and figure, and sometimes add marquetry, specialized carving, or kolrosing.  All are intended for everyday use
