Jean Carlson MasseauJean's work focuses on themes inspired by Vermont's landscape, horticultural subjects and people, whether watercolor paintings, drawings or photography. After graduation from Rhode Island School of Design her career has combined teaching with fine art and illustration, working for a variety of clients nationwide. She has taught workshops at RISD for their Continuing Ed program, summer graduate level classes at College of the Atlantic and for UVM's OLLI Adult Ed programs, among others. Her work has been recognized in Print Magazine's Regional Design Annuals and the N.Y. Society of Illustrators, in their competitive Annuals. Her photographs have won awards locally, regionally and nationally. She teaches Drawing and Painting Botanicals at the University of Vermont and is a regular practitioner of life drawing and portraiture.
